Group Training

Want to know if group training is right for you? Check out some of our frequently asked questions.

What is Group Training?

Group training is simply a fitness class/personal training session that is done in a group setting. It can consist of two individuals (i.e. a couple or you and a friend). It can also consist of a group of individuals (i.e. family members or coworkers).

Group training is done in a circuit training format which consists of a series of strength training exercises that are performed one after the other, with minimal rest between each exercise.

Typical exercises performed in my group training sessions are cardiovascular, calisthenics, core stabilization, strength and conditioning, and power exercises.

What Are the Benefits of Group Training?

Group training is beneficial in building a social support unit around my participants. Having a social support unit is one of the strongest predictors of exercise adherence. This is because it helps participants keep each other motivated and accountable in working towards their fitness goals. Participants are more enthusiastic, encouraging of one another, socially interactive and seem to enjoy their workouts more.

Who can Participate?

Any exercise level can participate. Each exercise in a group training class can be regressed for beginners or progressed for the more advanced exerciser. It is designed for you to go at your own pace, and it is easy to monitor your progression week by week.

Group training is great for everyone but especially individuals who are new to training, might be a little nervous or those who struggle to establish a healthy fitness routine.
